Waghodia Main Road or Ajwa Road?
Waghodia Main Road and Ajwa Road both run east out of Vadodara. Waghodia Main Road is lined with workplaces: Parul University, Sumandeep Vidyapeeth, Dhiraj Hospital and Waghodia GIDC. Ajwa Road leads to the Ajwa reservoir and the gardens near it. Choose the road your working week happens on, then compare the projects themselves.
We are not neutral here, and we should say why. Our earlier project, Lake Tree New Age Townhouses, is on Ajwa Main Road: 70 homes, completed in 2024 and sold out. Lake Tree Avenue, our current project of 48 homes, is on Waghodia Main Road. We have built on both, so we know what each one is like to live on.

This table describes what is along each road in general terms. We have measured distances only from Lake Tree Avenue's gate, not from points on Ajwa Road, so we do not compare drive times between the two roads here.
Who does each road suit?
Waghodia Main Road suits you if you or someone at home works or studies at Parul University (about 2.7 km from Lake Tree Avenue), Sumandeep Vidyapeeth or Dhiraj Hospital (about 3.9 km), or Waghodia GIDC (about 5.5 km), or if you drive towards Halol and Savli. Your daily drive is short and does not cross the city.
Ajwa Road suits you if your week is in the north-east of the city or around it, and you want the quieter side of east Vadodara, close to the reservoir and its gardens.
Either road suits you if you work in the city centre and are choosing on the house, not the commute. Then compare the plans, the land, the papers and the developer, and drive both roads at the hour you would use them.
Is anything changing on these roads?
The Vadodara Urban Development Authority's 75-metre ring road is being built in phases. The second phase, approved in August 2026 at about ₹483 crore with a target of 2028, includes an 11.76 km stretch between Ajwa Road and Halol Road. Where it will cross each road, and when, is for VUDA to confirm; we do not count on road projects when we tell you about a location, and you should not either.
What should you check on either road?
- Drive the road at your real commute time, both ways, once.
- Check the land papers, NA permission and building permission with your own lawyer.
- Visit the developer's earlier project and talk to the people who live there.
